Alláh'u'abhá (Bicentenary Version)

by The Shoreless Sea

/

about

To commemorate the Bicentenary of the Birth of Baha'u'llah, the prophet-founder of the Baha'i Faith, The Shoreless Sea presents a newly-remixed version of their classic recitation of Alláh'u'Abhá, a meditation chanted ninety-five times in five verses of nineteen.

Originally available in 2007 on their CD 'The Mystery', the Baha'i Review said of their work: 'outstanding: stirring and uplifting...The Mystery has upped the ante for Baha'i world music'.

The Shoreless Sea present Alláh'u'Abhá in collaboration with London-based digital artist Victoria Eyton who contributes an image from her spectacular set of original prints "DELARA / دلآرا", a word of Farsi origin meaning to adorn or beautify the heart. These four prints represent a series of Persian carpets found at the Baha'i World Centre, Haifa. Each carpet has its own story; here their patterns have been edited into a new symmetrical unity.

'It is natural for the heart and spirit to take pleasure and enjoyment in all things that show forth symmetry, harmony, and perfection.'
Ábdu'l-Bahá
